Amazon Small & Light

Amazon has introduced a way to help sellers reduce fulfillment costs while increasing profit margins on certain items that are sold through FBA. It’s called the Amazon FBA Small and Light program. Items that meet certain size, weight, price, and packaging requirements may be eligible to be enrolled into the Amazon FBA Small and Light program.

The basics of Amazon FBA Small and Light are:

The item must weigh less than 10 ounces
The item must measure 16 x 9 x 4 inches or less
The item must be priced at $7.00 or less
You must send in a minimum of 24 of each ASIN at one time

Amazon FBA Small and Light Program fees

Prior to July 2019, items could weigh up to 15 ounces and cost up to $15 and qualify for the small and light program, but the recent limitations on both size and price have reduced the appeal of this program.

AZInsight Logo

AZInsight is a Chrome browser extension for Amazon sellers. It loads up onto the Amazon product page and contains a revenue and profit calculator, variation viewer, stock checker, restrictions and Hazmat indicator, and much more. It also has a Small & Light identifier that recognizes when the product meets the size and weight requirements to be in the program. AZInsight then displays both the standard FBA fees as well as the Amazon Small & Light program fees, allowing sellers to determine whether adding the product to the program will benefit them. To the best of our knowledge, there is no other tool for Amazon sellers like AZInsight, and you can try it free for 10 days.
