Amazon Finance Workspace: Where Your Payments, Payouts and Reports Live in New Seller Central

Here is where every finance tool moved, what the new balance view is telling you, and what stayed exactly the same.

If your Payments Dashboard seems to have vanished, it has not. It moved. Amazon rolled out Finance Workspace in new Seller Central on September 21, 2026. It puts your balances, payouts, transactions, reports and tax documents in one place. Your data, settings, integrations and 14-day settlement cycle did not change. What changed is where you click.

Key takeaways

  • Finance Workspace is the money section of new Seller Central. It holds three summary widgets and three working pages: Manage Payout, Manage Transaction and the Reports Hub.
  • Your old tools are still there under new names. Statement View, Date Range reports, Request Payment, Transaction View and the Tax Document Library all have a new home.
  • The Balance Summary splits your money into Available, Deferred and Account Level Reserve, so you can see what is held and why.
  • Some things are still rough. Payout requests have failed on the new page for some sellers, and Classic Seller Central or the mobile app is Amazon’s workaround for now.

What Finance Workspace is

Finance Workspace is one of six workspaces in new Seller Central: My business, Products, Supply chain, Orders, Finance and Marketing. Amazon describes it as a single place for financial management, reporting and operations. It is the finance area of the Amazon Seller Central redesign, and it has nothing to do with AWS WorkSpaces.

It has three parts.

  1. Widgets. Financial Overview shows net proceeds, earnings, fees and deductions by month, plus payout forecasts. Balance Summary shows what Amazon is holding for you. Payout Summary shows your two most recent payouts and a Request Payment button if your account has one.
  2. Manage pages. Manage Payout lists every payout. Manage Transaction lists every order and fee. The Reports Hub builds and stores your finance reports.
  3. Customization. You can arrange the widgets to suit how you work.

The current month’s net proceeds also show on the Finance tab itself, whichever page you are on.

Where are payments in new Seller Central?

Almost everything you used in the old Payments menu is now under Finance. Amazon’s own guide says the tools “are still available, but they’ve moved.” This table maps the old paths to the new ones.

What you are looking for Where it was Where it is now
Payments Dashboard and Statement View Payments, then Statement View Finance, then Manage payments. Searching “Statement View” also works
Date Range reports (summary PDF, transaction CSV) Payments, then Reports Repository Finance, then Finance reports (the Reports Hub)
Request payment (Disburse on Demand) Payments Dashboard, then Request Payment Manage Payout: choose an Upcoming payout, then Request Payout. Also on the Payout Summary widget
Transaction View and deferred transactions Payments Dashboard, then Transaction View Manage Transaction, from the Balance Summary link
Tax Document Library and Form 1099-K Reports, then Tax Document Library Finance, then Manage Taxes, then Tax document library
Lending Payments Finance, then Manage payments, Lending tab
Seller Wallet Payments Finance, then Manage payments, Seller Wallet tab (permissions required)
Currency Converter for Sellers Payments Finance, then Manage payments, Currency conversion tab
Business Reports Reports, then Business Reports An Amazon moderator says Finance. If you cannot find it, search for it or bookmark the direct link
All reports, Custom Analytics, B2B reports Reports menu My business, then All reports. These are not in Finance

If a tool is still missing, three things help. Search for it by its old name in the Seller Central search bar. Open the site map in the navigation menu or the footer. Bookmark the pages you use every week, which Amazon added in September.

How to read the Balance Summary

The Balance Summary answers the question every seller asks: how much does Amazon owe me, and why can’t I have it yet? It splits your total balance into three parts.

  • Available funds. Money you can be paid now, either on your next scheduled payout or by requesting one.
  • Deferred amounts. Money Amazon is holding for now and will release later. This is mostly the delivery-date reserve, where each sale is held until 7 days after delivery. Invoiced business orders can also sit here.
  • Account Level Reserve. A separate hold for risks the delivery-date reserve does not cover. Amazon’s reasons include open A-to-z claims, chargebacks in the last 90 days, performance below its benchmarks, an account under review, and tax withholding in some stores.

Click through from the Balance Summary to Manage Transaction to see the release date for each deferred item. If you want the full story on why the deferred number is so large, read how Amazon’s DD+7 reserve holds your funds.

Manage Payout and payout statuses

Manage Payout is where you check every payout, past and upcoming. Each row shows the payout date, status, the 14-day payout period, a Trace ID with the last digit of your bank account, the Settlement ID, the amount, and whether it is a standard or invoiced account. View Details shows the payout’s timeline.

Status What it means
Upcoming Scheduled but not sent. You may be able to request it early
In Transit Sent by Amazon and on its way to your bank
Complete Delivered
Failed The payout did not go through. Check your deposit method
Cancelled Stopped before it was sent
No Payout Nothing was due for that period

To request a payout, find the Upcoming row and choose Request Payout under Action. You can download the report for any payout except upcoming ones and periods with no payout.

How fast the money arrives is a separate change. Since September 21, 2026, Express Payout is on by default for eligible US sellers, so most payouts now land within 24 hours. Finance Workspace changes where you see your payouts. Express Payout changes how fast they get to you.

Which report to use

Pick the report by the question you are answering. Settlement reports follow payout timing. Date Range reports follow activity timing.

Report What it covers Best for
Statement View One settlement period, about 14 days Checking a single payout
Date Range Summary report (PDF) Any date range you choose Month-end totals and profit and loss
Date Range Transaction report (CSV) Every transaction in a date range Detailed reconciliation in a spreadsheet
Understand Payout (Reports Hub) One 14-day payout period, once it closes Matching Amazon deposits to your bank statement
Tax document library Yearly tax forms, including Form 1099-K Taxes

Two details catch people. First, generated reports only stay downloadable for 90 days, so save the ones you need. Second, for North American stores, Date Range reports now sort transactions by the date they posted instead of the date they were released. Amazon made that change in early 2026 to line up with 1099-K reporting. If your month-end totals moved, that is why.

Monthly checks work the same way from here. You can still audit shipping adjustment charges in your transaction history, reconcile your aged inventory surcharge each month, and track returns and removal fees. Only the menu path changed.

Known issues right now

A few problems are open as of late September 2026. Amazon may fix them quickly, so treat this list as a snapshot.

  • Payout requests failing. Some sellers have reported a “disbursement request failed” error on the new Manage Payouts page, with early reports from just before the rollout. Amazon confirmed the issue. Its workaround is to switch to Classic Seller Central from the gear icon, or to request the payout in the Amazon Seller mobile app.
  • Statement View “missing.” It is still there under Manage payments. For month-end totals, Amazon points sellers to the Date Range Summary or Transaction report, since settlement periods do not match calendar months.
  • No combined balance across marketplaces. The old homepage showed one total for every marketplace. New Seller Central shows balances one marketplace at a time. Amazon suggests submitting a feature request and pulling reports per marketplace.

Classic Seller Central is still reachable from the gear icon in the top right. Any page you open from there switches back to the new interface, and Amazon has not said how long Classic will stay.

Giving your bookkeeper or VA access

If someone on your team cannot see the Finance pages, check their permissions first. The account administrator grants access under Settings, then User Permissions.

  • Employees and VAs. Give them “Manage Your Payments” as a viewer. Use editor only if they need to request payouts or change payment settings. Give each person the least access they need.
  • Outside firms. Amazon says not to add outside service providers as users. Add accounting firms and other partners under the Authorized Partners tab in your Global Account instead.
  • Tax forms. You may need to sign in as the primary user to download Form 1099-K.

Amazon has not published a list of which permission unlocks each Finance Workspace page. If a page is still hidden after you grant Manage Your Payments, contact Seller Support.

What did not change

Amazon says the core features are the same. Here is how it breaks down.

Changed Did not change
Where finance tools live in the menu Your account data, settings, listings and order history
Page names: Manage Payout, Manage Transaction, Reports Hub The 14-day settlement cycle
The Balance Summary breakdown on one screen Reserve rules, including DD+7 and account-level reserves
Classic Seller Central is no longer the default SP-API integrations and third-party tools
Bookmarks, site map and search for finding tools The transaction data behind every report

Your first week in Finance Workspace

  1. Open Finance from the tabs at the top or the menu in the top left. Check the net proceeds figure.
  2. Read your Balance Summary. Note how much is Available, Deferred and in Account Level Reserve. Click into Manage Transaction to see release dates.
  3. Check Manage Payout. Confirm your last payouts show Complete and note the Trace IDs. If a payout request fails, use Classic or the mobile app.
  4. Bookmark your regular pages. Manage payments, Manage Transaction, Finance reports, Manage Taxes and Business Reports are a good start.
  5. Save your reports. Download any month-end reports you rely on before the 90-day limit, and tell your bookkeeper about the posted-date change.
  6. Review who has access. Check that your bookkeeper, VA or accountant has the right permission, and that outside firms use Authorized Partners.

If you would rather ask than click, Amazon’s Seller Assistant can also point you to tools in the new layout. The AI tools Amazon announced at Accelerate 2026 cover what it can do now.

The bottom line

Finance Workspace moved your money tools. It did not change your money. Your balance, payout schedule, reserves and reports all work the way they did before September 21. What changed is the path to each one, plus a clearer Balance Summary that shows what Amazon is holding and why. Spend an hour this week finding and bookmarking the pages you use, and keep Classic Seller Central or the mobile app in mind if a payout request fails.

Frequently asked questions

What is Finance Workspace in Amazon Seller Central?

It is the finance section of new Seller Central. It combines your balance, payouts, transactions, reports and tax documents in one place, with summary widgets and three working pages: Manage Payout, Manage Transaction and the Reports Hub.

Where did the Payments Dashboard and Statement View go?

They are under Finance, then Manage payments. You can also type “Statement View” in the Seller Central search bar.

How do I request a payout in new Seller Central?

Go to Manage Payout, find the Upcoming payout, and choose Request Payout. If it fails, switch to Classic Seller Central from the gear icon or use the Amazon Seller mobile app.

Why is my Amazon balance unavailable?

Usually because it is deferred under the delivery-date reserve, which holds each sale until 7 days after delivery. Part of it may also be in an account-level reserve because of claims, chargebacks or performance issues.

Where are my 1099-K and other tax documents?

Finance, then Manage Taxes, then Tax document library. You may need to sign in as the primary user.

Can I switch back to Classic Seller Central?

Not permanently. Amazon removed the opt-out for all sellers by the end of August 2026. You can still view Classic pages from the gear icon for now.

Why can’t my bookkeeper see the Finance pages?

They probably need the “Manage Your Payments” permission. The account administrator can grant it under User Permissions. Outside firms should be added as Authorized Partners instead.

Did my payout schedule change?

No. Amazon still settles accounts every 14 days, and DD+7 still applies. The separate Express Payout change means payouts now reach most US bank accounts within 24 hours.
