Amazon recently announced that Under Armour would become a restricted brand beginning on Nov. 1, 2015. Here is the email that was sent to sellers:

Dear FBA seller,

Amazon strives to provide the best possible experience for customers. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are implementing approval requirements for certain Under Armour products in the Sports category. You can find a list of the products for which approval will be required at the bottom of this email.

Effective November 1, 2015, you will no longer be eligible to list these products on Amazon.com, and your listings for these products will be removed. There is no adverse impact on your seller account for the removal, but we request that you refrain from relisting removed products.

Also, effective immediately, we will no longer accept inbound shipments of the affected ASINs to FBA. However, if you have remaining inventory of these ASINs already in Amazon fulfillment centers, you can sell your remaining inventory until November 1, 2015. In addition, we ask that you do not list these products as self-fulfilled offers after November 1, 2015.

You will need to create a Removal Order for return or disposal of these units. Although each Removal Order generates a “FBA Return Fee” or “FBA Disposal Fee” that appears in your Seller Central account, we will reimburse fees charged for any Removal Order for the above FBA inventory from September 17, 2015, to November 1, 2015. After November 1, 2015, you will be charged standard removal fees that will not be reimbursed.

Once you are reimbursed, your reimbursement amount will appear in your Payments Report; to find this report, click the Reports tab in Seller Central, then Payments. The reimbursement amount will appear as “Other” in the Refunds section.

If you do not submit a Removal Order for impacted inventory by November 1, 2015, we may dispose of this unsellable inventory in accordance with the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement.

Certain sellers may be approved to sell Under Armour products. If you are interested in seeking pre-approval to sell these products, please email [email protected] for additional information.

Thank you for selling on Amazon.

Sincerely,
Amazon Services
